- 2 tsp baking powder
- 250 g quark or yogurt
- Bacon cubes, thyme or sugar, optional

simple, quick, also suitable for savory waffles
Makes about 5 waffles in a Belgian waffle iron and 7 waffles in a heart-shaped waffle iron. First, mix all ingredients, except for the variation ingredients such as bacon bits, with a hand mixer. Then add your favorite toppings. For example, savory: diced ham, thyme, and rosemary. Or sweet: sugar, blueberries, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Preheat the waffle iron and brush with a little oil before first use. After that, no more oil is needed, as the batter releases easily from the Belgian and heart-shaped waffle irons. The rye flour gives the waffles a good, natural flavor.
