Waffles with marzipan

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 175 g sugar
  • 175 g butter, melted, cooled
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 60 g marzipan, grated
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

A real hit with my whole family – lasts three to four days

Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, marzipan, and butter until fluffy. Sift the flour and mix with the baking powder and stir into the fluffy mixture. Let the batter stand for at least half an hour, mix again, and bake in batches in a greased waffle iron.
