Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 melon(s) (watermelon), ripe, halved and pitted
  • 5 cm ginger, fresh, peeled and cracked
  • 2 limes, the juice
  • n. B. sugar
  • Cherry(s) for garnishing
  • Pineapple for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 10 minutes

Puree the flesh of half a melon with ginger and lime juice and add a little water. Then season the mixture with sugar and fill ice cube trays in the freezer. Before serving, puree the remaining melon and pour the mixture over the melon ice cubes. If you want to impress your guests even more, you can dress it up a bit: Stick a piece of pineapple around the edge, then skewer a cocktail cherry and a small umbrella. This gives the smoothie a real cocktail touch! It looks very pretty!
