Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Thyme
  • Clove powder
  • Salt
  • some lemon(s) (a piece of peel)
  • ¼ liter meat broth
  • 2 bananas
  • 50 g almonds
  • 5 tomatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Finely chop the onions and garlic and fry in oil. Add the minced meat and fry. Dice the tomatoes and bell peppers. Peel, core, and dice the apple, then add it to the minced meat along with the tomatoes and bell peppers. Braise thoroughly, season with salt, paprika, thyme, cloves, and cayenne pepper, and add a little lemon zest. Add the stock and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the lemon zest and season to taste. Slice the bananas and fold in. Lightly brown the almonds without fat and sprinkle over the stew before serving.
