What Distinguishes the Pork Chop?

Spread the love

Pork chops are cut from the pork loin strand. These are also called pork loin or pork loin, are then removed and therefore have no bone. The cord runs along the spine from the nape of the neck to the buttock. The exact designation of the meat depends on the section of the loin strand from which it is cut: The rib and stalk chops come from the front part of the strand and the loin, fillet, and sirloin chops come from the rear part.

The pork loin strand provides not only chops but also various other cuts of meat:

  • Kassler: cured and smoked piece of meat from the strand
  • Steak: boneless and sliced
  • Roast: boneless and in one piece
  • Salmon ham: cured, smoked, boneless

Depending on the cut, the chops are suitable for pan frying, grilling, or stewing.
