What Foods Should Not be Eaten by People Over 60 – A Doctor’s Answer

There are a certain number of foods that people who have crossed the threshold of sixty years of age should reduce their consumption as quickly as possible and for as long as possible.

Some foods cause premature aging of the body, and therefore people over 60 should minimize their consumption.

First of all, the doctor drew attention to foods that contain a lot of sugars, such as jam or honey. The doctor warned of the danger of adding them to tea, as well as of eating candy or confectionery. He recommended a daily intake of no more than 20 grams of sugar per day.

In addition, sunflower oil poses a threat to the body due to the presence of fatty acids that provoke age-related diseases. Instead, it is recommended to use olive oil.

“You should avoid foods with a high glycemic index. These include products made from white sifted flour, white bread, and sliced loaves, which contain almost no dietary fiber. They also include potatoes and rice porridge,” the nutritionist added.

In the end, Ginzburg advises people in the 60+ category to minimize the amount of red meat in their diet and replace it with fish or poultry. It will be useful to increase the number of fermented milk drinks, coarse cereals, and vegetables (especially onions and garlic) in the diet.
