According to the famous nutritionist Alexandra Lapina, not everyone can eat a lemon. This is because (and because) this fruit is a natural allergen.

Lemon has many beneficial properties. But with certain body characteristics, eating this fruit is unacceptable.

“Lemon improves digestion, stimulates appetite, reduces blood cholesterol, relieves cramps, and even prevents the formation of cancerous tumors. Lemon is mostly used to fight colds and coughs. It is also an antiviral and antibacterial product,” she says.

However, Lapina noted that not everyone can eat a lemon. It is an allergen (this is worth remembering for those who are allergic to citrus). It is also worth avoiding lemon in case of kidney disease, as well as problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
