Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 m.-large white cabbage
  • 2 onions
  • 125 ml oil
  • 125 ml vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp celery salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 15 minutes

Finely slice or shred the cabbage and onions. Bring the oil, vinegar, mustard seeds, celery salt, and sugar to a boil and pour over the cabbage. Finally, add 1-2 teaspoons of salt, mix thoroughly, and let it steep for 24 hours. If you don’t like it too sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar.
