Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 200 g wholemeal flour or wholemeal spelt flour
  • ½ pack of yeast, fresh
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.33 tsp salt
  • 100 ml tomato sauce and topping ingredients as desired
  • ½ cup of seeds (sunflower seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Mix the yeast with the water. Add the flour, salt, olive oil, and various seeds (e.g., flaxseed, sunflower seeds, etc.) and knead the dough thoroughly. Then let the dough rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. After resting, knead the dough thoroughly again. Divide the dough into 6-8 pieces and roll out. Spread half of the flatbreads with the tomato sauce and add the desired topping. Then fold over the uncoated side and press the ends together firmly with a fork. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven) and bake the flatbreads for about 15 minutes.
