Wild Berry Fruit Jam

The perfect wild berry fruit jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 800 g Forest berries, as many dark fruits as possible
  • 100 ml Dornfelder, lovely
  • 1 bag Mulled wine spice
  • 400 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  1. Put the fruits in a large saucepan and cook over medium heat. If necessary, mash a little with the pounder, pieces of fruit should still be preserved.
  2. Pour the red wine, add the bag of mulled wine spice and let it boil a little, then turn the temperature down and let it simmer a little longer.
  3. Now add the preserving sugar and bring to the boil again (approx. 5 minutes) until the sugar has dissolved. In the meantime, rinse the glasses with boiling water.
  4. Now fill the fruit mixture into the glasses, turn it upside down for 20 minutes. Done and let it taste.
