With sparkling wine into spring

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 bottle of sparkling wine, semi-dry, well chilled
  • 3 limes
  • 1 class Bottle(s) of syrup, (elderflower syrup)
  • 12 ice cubes

Working time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 8 minutes

Spring messenger with elderflower syrup

Since spring always seems so slow to arrive, I have a delicious recipe to dream about. Prepare 6 shallow glasses. Wash and quarter the limes. Place two lime quarters into each glass and gently crush them with a muddler. Top each lime with 3 tablespoons of elderflower syrup (use one more if you prefer it sweeter) and add 2 ice cubes. Top with sparkling wine and enjoy.
