Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 50 g bacon
  • 150 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 100 g ham, cooked, chopped
  • 4 slices of cheese (Gouda)

Season the turkey escalopes with salt and pepper and briefly fry on both sides in a pan with a little oil. Remove them and place them side by side on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Add the chopped onion to the pan and fry until golden brown. Cut the bacon into strips, add to the onions, and fry briefly. Add the sliced ​​mushrooms and the finely chopped ham, season with a little salt and pepper, and cover and simmer for about 5 minutes. Spread this mixture evenly over the turkey escalopes and top each with a slice of cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 10-15 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes, fries, croquettes, potato dumplings, etc., or even vegetables or a salad.
