Zucchini, tomato, and mozzarella casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large zucchini
  • 2 onions
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 250g mozzarella
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • some basil
  • some oregano
  • pinch(s) of salt
  • pinch(s) of pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

with minced meat

Dice the onions and sauté until translucent. Add the ground beef and fry until crumbly. Add the tomato paste and fry briefly. Stir in the passata, milk, and crushed garlic. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer over low heat for a few minutes to allow to infuse. Wash the zucchini and tomatoes. Slice the zucchini, tomatoes, and mozzarella and layer them in a baking dish. Pour over the meat sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
