Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp vinegar essence (25%)
  • 2 large onions

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

sweet and sour pickled onions as a side dish

Prepare a broth from the first four ingredients. Finely slice the onions and pour the broth over them. Let it steep for at least an hour. The onions make an excellent side dish for grilled food.
