Best Banana Brownie Cake – really!

Melt the butter and chocolate, while at the same time beating the sugar and eggs in a food processor until the chocolate butter has cooled slightly. Mash the bananas thoroughly with a fork and mix them into the egg whites along with the butter and chocolate mixture. Fold in the sifted flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and top with chocolate sprinkles. Bake at 180-190°C for 30-40 minutes. The cake will rise in the oven but then collapse again. It’s ready when the batter still seems a little moist and springs back in the middle, but nothing should stick when pierced with a wooden skewer. This recipe was actually an experiment where I simply wanted to melt down an old chocolate Easter bunny, and my family loved it! A special highlight is the trick with the chocolate sprinkles – bake it yourself, and you’ll know what I mean.
