Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g whipped cream
- 200 g cooked ham, thinly sliced
- 100 g pizza cheese, grated
- 4 kohlrabi
- 3 tbsp sauce thickener, light
- 3 stalks of basil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Bring 375 ml of water and the cream to a boil. Meanwhile, peel the kohlrabi, halve it, and cut it into thin wedges. Season the cream mixture with salt and pepper, then cover and cook the kohlrabi in it for 10-12 minutes. Cut the ham into strips, wash the basil, shake it dry, and pick off the leaves. Preheat the oven to 175°C (grill setting). Stir the sauce thickener into the cream mixture, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 1 minute. Season the sauce with salt and pepper, then stir in the basil and ham. Place the kohlrabi, cream sauce, and ham in a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Grill for 5-7 minutes.
