Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 small onions
  • 4 pointed peppers, red
  • 4 tbsp wine vinegar
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can Pizza tomatoes or peeled
  • ½ can corn
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • black pepper
  • Salt
  • Chili, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

, slightly sour, like at the snack bar around the corner, but without ketchup and MSG!

Cut the onions into eighths lengthwise. Cut the bell peppers into approximately 2-3 cm pieces. Sauté the onions in oil until translucent, add the bell peppers and cook briefly. Add the sugar and let it caramelize slightly. Deglaze with vinegar and wine and reduce by half. Add the tomato paste, pizza tomatoes, and corn. Bring back to a boil and season with salt and pepper. Add chili to desired heat. Thickening is usually not necessary.
