Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 500 ml Game stock
  • 50 g of gingerbread
  • 20 g butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel the onions, finely dice them, and sauté them in the butter. Add the tomato paste and fry briefly. Deglaze with red wine and simmer for about 10 minutes. Crumble the gingerbread and add it to the sauce. Add the stock and simmer for another 10 minutes. Strain the sauce through a sieve and season with salt and pepper.
