Green apple chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples, green
  • 15 g garlic
  • 1 liter vinegar (spirit vinegar)
  • 450 g dates
  • 115 g ginger
  • 450 g raisins
  • 450 g brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Quarter the apples, remove the cores, and chop them. Peel the garlic and add it to a saucepan with the apples. Cover with vinegar and cook gently until softened. Chop the dates and ginger and add them to the cooked apples and garlic along with the other ingredients. Simmer gently for about 45 minutes. Pour the mixture into preheated, sterilized jars and seal immediately.
