Sweet mustard sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tsp lard (onion lard), if desired
  • 20 g butter, cold
  • 20 g flour
  • 200 ml broth
  • 1 tbsp mustard, sweeten
  • 1 shot of white wine
  • 110 ml sweet cream
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

delicious with meat and vegetables

First, heat the onion fat and butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and sauté gently, stirring constantly. Now, while the roux is still light, carefully deglaze it with the stock, stirring constantly. Add a dash of white wine (if desired) and the sweet mustard. Whisk briefly, then stir in the cream. Season to taste with a small pinch of salt and sugar. Makes approximately 350 ml of sauce. Delicious with pork loin and steamed vegetables. It’s also certainly delicious with napkin or bread dumplings and white sausage.
