an American recipe, quick and easy
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Peel and finely mash the banana. Roughly chop the chocolate block. Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl using the whisk attachment of a hand mixer until fluffy. Stir the banana puree and egg into the cream. Thoroughly mix the oats with the flour, baking powder, and salt and stir into the batter. Mix in the chocolate block. Using a teaspoon, place 20 heaps onto the paper and flatten slightly. Bake the cookies on the middle rack of the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat, gas mark 3, fan oven: 180°C) for about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Tips: To save time, use chocolate drops instead of the chocolate block. For cookies with a bite, add 20g of chopped banana chips.
