ideal for the little ones, they are especially fun to cut out

Sift flour onto the baking surface, sprinkle with butter and sugar. Make a well in the center. Add the eggs, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon. Quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. Chill for 30-60 minutes before using. Preheat oven to approximately 180°C to 190°C (150-160°C fan oven). Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/2 cm. Cut out small shapes (depending on the occasion) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Decorate the cookies while they are still warm with powdered sugar or other decorations. For those who like things a little sweeter: You can also conjure up beautiful patterns on the cookies with chocolate icing.
