Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 210 g butter, soft
  • 70 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 200 g hazelnuts, whole or halved walnuts
  • 200 g sugar for rolling
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar for rolling
  • possibly flour for the tray

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix the softened butter, sugar, flour, and ground hazelnuts into a dough. Chill for 10 minutes. Then form the dough into small balls (they will expand during baking, so don’t make the balls too big!). Place them on a baking tray dusted with flour or lined with baking paper. Finally, press half a walnut or a whole hazelnut onto the ball. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius for approx. 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, mix 200g of sugar and 2 sachets of vanilla sugar in a bowl, toss the hot balls in it, and place them on a wire rack to cool! Don’t eat them all at once!!! It will give you a stomach ache!!!
