Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml milk
  • 50 g margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g semolina
  • Salt
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • chives
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Bring the milk, margarine, and salt to a boil. Reduce the semolina, stirring constantly, until it begins to separate from the bottom of the pot. Let it cool. Stir in the egg yolks and stiffly beaten egg whites. Spread the mixture onto a greased baking sheet, about 2 cm thick, and bake in the oven until golden brown. Cut into diamond shapes, add to the soup, and garnish with chives.
