Piglet Dick – or simply delicious quark rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 200 g quark
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp oil (germ oil)
  • 75 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Sweets (sugar pearls or Smarties) for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

This recipe is intended for making little piggies, perhaps for children’s birthdays or similar. But I usually just make little rolls out of them. Very quick and delicious! Mix the quark, milk, germ oil, and sugar well. Stir in half the flour and the baking powder, then knead in the remaining flour. Sprinkle the tabletop with flour and roll out the dough. Use a glass to cut out two round discs and a third, smaller circle for the nose. Cut one of the larger circles in half and press it diagonally onto the top of the head. Press the smaller circle on as the nose. Bake: 20 minutes at 175 degrees. This depends on the desired browning and the thickness of the dish. Mine usually take a little less time. You can then add sugar pearls or Smarties for the piggies’ eyes and/or nostrils. Good luck!
