Tomato-onion sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 onions (about 250 g)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp red wine
  • 70 g tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp marjoram
  • 1 tbsp chives, in rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

tastes very good with fish dishes

Peel the onions and garlic and slice them. Briefly place the tomatoes in boiling water, then rinse in cold water, peel, remove the stem ends, and dice. Heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic slices. Add the diced tomatoes, wine, tomato paste, marjoram, and chives. Mix well and sauté for about 10-15 minutes.
