Cheese – Chicken Nuggets – Ciabatta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ciabatta for baking
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda or Maasdam), sliced
  • 10 chicken nuggets (cheese chicken nuggets, frozen)
  • 1 e.g. tartar sauce or mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp corn kernels from the can

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Ciabatta, topped with delicious chicken nuggets and baked with cheese

First, I bake the ciabatta (follow the temperature instructions on the package), but I take it out of the oven 2-3 minutes before the end of the baking time, as otherwise it could become too hard after baking. Meanwhile, I fry the nuggets in a pan until golden brown. In the meantime, the ciabatta should also be done. I take it out of the oven to cool. Turn the oven down to 150°C. Now cut the ciabatta in half crosswise. The bottom half is then thickly spread with remoulade or mayonnaise. Spread the corn kernels on top. Now place the fried nuggets on top and spread the cheese on top. Place the baguette back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes (depending on how melted you want the cheese). Place the top half of the ciabatta on top, and the cheese and chicken nugget baguette is ready! Of course, you can refine it even further by adding thin slices of cucumber or tomato after baking, as you like.
