Egg swirl with ham and cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 shot of carbonated mineral water
  • 1 handful of ham cubes
  • 1 handful of cheese, grated
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 12 minutes

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the splash of mineral water without mixing. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and mix with a spatula. Only add enough to separate the yolks and whites; it shouldn’t be scrambled. When the mixture is halfway set, add the diced ham and cheese and let it finish setting. We like this on lightly toasted and buttered whole-grain bread.
