Ingredients for 16 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 300 g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g chocolate shavings
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • n. B. Chocolate coating, dark
  • Butter for the mold
  • Flour or breadcrumbs for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Grease a cake pan with butter and dust with flour or breadcrumbs. Cream the butter until fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, eggs, and salt. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add in portions. Fold in the chocolate shavings, hazelnuts, and egg liqueur. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 75 minutes. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack. Then cover with melted chocolate coating. Tip: The cake tastes better if you let it stand for about 1-2 days before eating.
