Toast rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 25 g sugar
  • ½ apple, organic
  • 30 ml water
  • 2 pinch(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tsp, leveled cornstarch
  • 2 slices of toast
  • e.g. butter, liquid
  • n. B. cinnamon sugar
  • n. B. Grease for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with apple and cinnamon filling

Caramelize the sugar in a pan over medium heat. Core the unpeeled, half apple and dice it very finely. Add it to the pan with the water and cinnamon. Mix the cornstarch with a little water until smooth, add it, and cook over high heat for a few minutes until thickened. Then let it cool away from the heat. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Cut off the crusts from the slices of bread; they are not needed for this recipe. Roll out the slices of bread very thinly with a rolling pin. Place a tablespoon of the now cooled apple mixture on each slice of bread and roll up. Place the filled toast rolls in a greased baking dish, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake in the hot oven on the second rack from the bottom for about 10-15 minutes; every oven reacts differently.
