Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the Brussels sprouts, removing the outer leaves and the base of the stem. Make a cross-shaped cut at the stalk of the florets. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan until smoking hot, swirling the wok several times to coat the surface evenly. Cook the Brussels sprouts for 2 minutes, stirring, until all the florets are evenly coated. Stir in the salt and sugar, add the water, and simmer for about 1 minute. Stir several times, adding more liquid if necessary. Small cabbage florets will be cooked through in about 2-3 minutes, while larger florets will take 1 minute longer. Serve immediately.
