Quick mixed rye bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 280 g wheat flour
  • 250 g rye flour
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 1 shot of vinegar
  • 1 dash of olive oil
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Combine the wheat flour, rye flour, vinegar, olive oil, honey, and salt in a mixing bowl. Briefly mix the yeast with the water, add to the mixing bowl, and knead everything into a dough. Add a little more lukewarm water if the dough is too dry. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan oven). Briefly knead the dough again by hand, dust with flour, and shape into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the bread for about 40 minutes. Tip: Place a small bowl of water in the oven with the bread to ensure the crust becomes really crispy.
