Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 50 ml lemon juice
  • 1 pack of citric acid
  • 300 ml apple juice, unsweetened
  • 100 ml Amaretto
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel, core, and finely chop the pears, then weigh out 600g and place them in a saucepan. Squeeze the lemon, measure out 50ml of juice, and mix it with the pears along with the apple juice and Amaretto. Stir in the gelling sugar and citric acid. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Using a hand blender, chop the jam slightly and immediately fill the hot, rinsed jars with the jam and seal them. Makes approximately 6 200ml jars.
