Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 175 g cherry(s) (jar), drained
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 150 g spelt flour, plain
  • 1 tbsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp, levelled cinnamon, ground
  • 125 g ground almonds
  • 100 g chocolate shavings
  • 2 tbsp cherry juice or cherry liqueur

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Combine butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs until creamy and fluffy. Add cherry juice or liqueur and cinnamon and stir in. Combine flour and baking powder and stir in along with the almonds and chocolate shavings. Carefully fold in the cherries. Fill the batter two-thirds full into the prepared muffin cups. Bake in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for 20-25 minutes. Decorate as desired.
