Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 750 g apples
  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 g raisins
  • 200 g almonds, whole or sliced
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • ½ pack of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 13 hours 30 minutes

Chop the apples into small pieces, sprinkle with sugar, and let them sit overnight. The next day, add all the remaining ingredients and knead with the resulting sugar water. Pour the dough into a 15 x 30 cm loaf pan and bake in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius for about one hour. Tip: Dried figs and whole hazelnuts are also great for the dough.
