Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 75 g butter, room temperature
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp honey (lavender honey)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 medium egg yolk
- 150 g flour
- Lavender flowers, dried
- Sugar decoration
Instructions
Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Dice the butter and knead with powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey, salt, egg yolk, and flour to form a smooth dough. Chill for 1.5-2 hours. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface. Cut out the mug shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Chill for another 10-15 minutes. Place the baking sheets one after the other in the preheated oven at 175°C and bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until light and crispy. Meanwhile, mix the remaining honey with a little water until smooth. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes. Then brush thinly with honey and sprinkle with lavender blossoms or sugar decorations. Let cool completely. To serve, place the cookies on the rim of tea or coffee cups. Each serving contains about 45 calories. Makes about 32 cookies.
