Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 10 schnitzels
  • 10 slice(s) cheese, e.g. Gouda
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
  • Herbs, e.g. rosemary, parsley, basil or similar.
  • 3 tsp tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

A great party recipe that’s easy to prepare. With schnitzel and cheese.

Season the meat with salt and pepper. Layer the meat and cheese alternately in a roasting pan or deep casserole dish. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes. For the sauce, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour the sauce over the meat and bake for another 35 minutes. We like to serve it with baguette and salads. If you want to prepare the dish ahead, pour the sauce over the meat and cheese and let it cool. This allows the meat to soak in the sauce.
