Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g meat (belly meat), fat, smoked
  • 2 onions, red
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, sweet, dark
  • 4 cl Sherry, dry
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, smoked

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the belly pork into small cubes, peel the onions and dice them finely. Fry the meat slowly in a pan until crispy, then add the onions and let them become translucent. Pour in the soy sauce and deglaze with sherry. Stir in the sugar and simmer gently for about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, or smoked paprika, if desired. Transfer the meat to a suitable jar while hot and refrigerate until ready to serve. Tip: If you can’t find fatty meat, you can substitute 50g of bacon with green bacon.
