Bunny's caraway bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 100 g wheat flour, 550
  • 15 g yeast, fresh
  • 450 ml water, warm
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds, whole, or more if desired
  • Natural yogurt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Knead all of the ingredients together thoroughly, ideally using a kneading machine, then leave everything in a bowl with a lid at room temperature for about 40-60 minutes. Knead the dough again by hand and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper or in a loaf or springform pan also lined with baking paper. Score the surface with a sharp knife, spread with natural yogurt and sprinkle with a very small amount of whole caraway seeds. Place a bowl of hot water on the floor of the oven, add the bread and bake at 200° for about 40-50 minutes. If baking in the tin, please remove it from the tin about 10 minutes before the end of the baking time and continue baking without the tin. Baking times vary as every oven bakes differently.
