Chard with curry

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chard
  • 3 shallots
  • 20 g butter
  • curry powder
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 50 g sour cream or crème fraîche
  • e.g. white wine, dry wine or broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel and dice the shallots. Peel and chop the garlic. Wash the chard and separate it into leaves and stems. Cut the stems into small pieces and the leaves into thin strips. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the diced shallots and chopped garlic and cook until translucent. Deglaze with dry white wine or stock, if desired. Add the chard stems and sauté for about 5 minutes. Then add the leaves and sauté for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add curry powder, if desired, and fold in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot. Goes well with fish, but also with meat.
