Strawberry cake from a jar

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 125 g flour
  • 6 tbsp jam, strawberry
  • 125 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ vanilla pod(s), the pulp
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • strawberries
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Grease six 230 ml jars with baking spray. Add 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam to each jar. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Sift over the flour and baking powder, then add the vanilla seeds. Mix well. Divide the batter among the jars. Bake for about 25 minutes at 180°C. Seal the jars immediately. To serve, garnish with a few strawberries and dust with powdered sugar. Spoon the cake out of the jar immediately.
