Goat cheese rolls with chili-orange-honey sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 rolls of goat cheese (2 – 3 cm each)
  • 1 chili pepper(s), red
  • 2 oranges, juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • some basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Briefly bring the orange juice to a boil. Slice the chili pepper and add it. Stir in the cornstarch and bring back to a boil briefly. Season the sauce with honey and keep warm. Place two goat rolls in each ovenproof dish and add the sauce, covering the bottom slightly. Place the dishes in a preheated oven at 200°C. When the cheese begins to melt, remove the dishes from the oven and char the rolls with a torch to create a brown crust. Garnish with basil leaves and serve with baguette, if desired.
