Roasted onion butter

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pepper (e.g. garlic pepper)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

A must for every barbecue

Let the butter soften at room temperature. Slice the onions into rings, halve the garlic and separate the germ. Melt the margarine in a pan and fry the onion rings, garlic, and salt over high heat, stirring constantly, until browned. When the onions begin to brown, reduce the heat and stay on the stove, as they can go from brown to black very quickly. Let the fried onions cool, then toss with the butter and pepper and roll into a log using parchment paper. Delicious with grilled food, baked potatoes, or simply on toast or white bread.
