Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 cup(s) brown rice
- 2 cups water
- 2 apples of your favorite variety
- Water
- Cinnamon
- lemon juice
- Sugar or liquid sweetener

low in calories and dehydrating; still very tasty
Simmer the rice with water and no salt until it’s “slimy” and very slowly. This takes about 30 minutes. For the applesauce, peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Boil them with a little water for about 10 minutes until translucent. Add a little cinnamon or sugar (I use liquid sweetener), if desired. Once the apples are tender, puree them with an immersion blender or pass them through a sieve, then mix with the rice. Season with lemon juice at the very end. This rice tastes simply amazing both hot and cold!
