Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cake (Stollen)
- 200 ml milk
- 50 g sugar
- 4 eggs, including the yolk
- 4 eggs, of which the egg whites
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Cut the stollen into cubes, add hot milk until thick, add the sugar, beat the egg yolks until frothy, beat the egg whites until frothy, fold both in, then leave to stand on a sieve in a water bath for 20 minutes, cut into slices (best when the slices are cold) and fry in a little butter. There is a delicious way to use up leftover Christmas stollen; it goes well with vanilla sauce.
