Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter or margarine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 8 eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp Amaretto
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Beat butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until smooth. Gradually beat in the eggs. Stir in 200 ml of milk and flour. Pour half of the batter into another bowl. Stir the remaining milk and cocoa into one half, and the amaretto and vanilla seeds into the other. Pour both batters (in portions, of course) evenly into the waffle iron and bake. Tip: Collect the scraped vanilla pods in a large jar, sprinkle with sugar, and then grind them in a coffee grinder for delicious vanilla sugar.
