Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 10 g yeast
  • 100 ml water, lukewarm
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 6 sausages (e.g. Vienna sausages)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. poppy or sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Make a yeast dough from flour, salt, yeast, water, and oil and let it rise for about 30 minutes. Weigh the entire dough and divide it into 6 equal pieces. Shape the dough pieces into approximately 60 cm long rolls. Cut the Vienna sausages diagonally about 2-3 times to prevent them from bursting during baking. Wrap the dough rolls around the sausages. Place the finished sausages on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let the dough rise for another 5 minutes. Beat the egg and brush the dough over the dough. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30-35 minutes.
