  • 1 large bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1 can tomato(s), chopped (400 g)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 eggs

  • 150 g cheese (Emmental), sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

quick and simple

Cook the basil pasta in salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Then cool in a sieve with cold water and let it cool further. Cut the red and yellow bell peppers into sticks and then dice them. Dice the onion. Fry the diced ham in the hot pan. Add the onion and fry until translucent. Press the garlic and add it. The oven can now be preheated to 180°C. Add the bell peppers and simmer for 5 minutes. Season to taste with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Now transfer the cooled pasta to a baking dish. Add the sauce and mix everything together. If you don’t have a suitable baking dish, you can also combine the pasta and sauce in a large saucepan first. Whisk the eggs with the milk. Then pour over the casserole. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the casserole. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Serve with a tomato and onion salad or a colorful, fresh salad.
