Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 cl rum, approx. 2 shot glasses
  • 250 g flour
  • 50 g chocolate, chopped
  • 50 g nuts, chopped
  • 4 large apples
  • Bitter almond flavor 1/2 – 1 bottle
  • Cake icing (chocolate icing)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy. Slowly add the sugar and vanilla sugar, stirring until combined with the butter. Separate the eggs. Gradually add the 4 egg yolks. Stir in the cinnamon, cocoa, and rum. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift into the mixture, then stir in. Then fold in the chocolate and nuts. Dice the apples and stir into the finished batter. Finally, fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the batter. Bake at 180-190°C (top/bottom heat) for about 1 hour. Once cooled, cover with a chocolate glaze.
