Cacik
The perfect cacik recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Cucumber
- 350 g Süzme yoghurt, Turkish 10% fat
- 2 Garlic cloves chopped
- 3 tablespoon Freshly chopped mint
- 1 Freshly chopped chilli
- 3 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoon Hot paprika powder
- 3 tablespoon Salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoon Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Peel the cucumber, cut in half, core and cut into small cubes. Mix with all the ingredients and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Süzme yogurt is dehydrated, so it does not contain whey. As a rule, the cucumbers are not grated in Turkish tzatziki.
